If you want to begin in emulsion making, this truly is the only place to start. This book and DVD set contain the instructions to make a variety of paper and film emulsions using modern materials. Ron's book covers everything you might want to know getting started in emulsion making. All the formulas presented within are robust and have been tested in the lab. Given Ron's experience as an engineer at Kodak, a scientific evaluation of photo materials is given for those who wish to troubleshoot problems or venture beyond published formulae and undertake their own research. Good lab technique is discussed so that complex procedures can be repeatedly and reliably performed. I highly recommend this book and DVD set if you have any interest in emulsion making in the home darkroom. Thanks Ron!
